The name Gemballa has been synonomous with even higher performance Porsche automobiles since founder Uwe Gemballa started the tuning firm in 1981. Now, reports suggest Gemballa has been missing for more than a week while on a trip to South Africa.
European websites and forums are abuzz with the news of the 51-year old's alleged disappearance, who was last in any known contact with any of his associates on February 8th. Obviously it doesn't help that Johannesburg is notorious for its high rate of violent crime.
German investigators are apparently in contact with local law enforcement in an attempt to locate the tuning legend.
