There are three new engines in the KB range, and most models in the range come with a choice of 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrains, as well as automatic derivatives foThe new diesel engines line up consists of the 2,5-litre D-TEQ 250 engine and a 3,0-litre D-TEQ unit. Outputs for these models stand at 85 kW and 120 kW respectively, while torque stands at 280 N.m in the 2,5-litre. Torque for the 3,0-litre is 360 N.m, occurring between 1 600 to 2 800 r/min in the manual transmission, while the automatic version offers 333 N.m from 1 600- to 3 200 r/min. The new 3,6-litre V6 petrol produces 157 kW at 5 300 r/min and has torque of 313 N.m at 2 800 r/min.

The base 4x2 models in the range starts with the KB 200 for the petrol derivative and the KB 250 for the diesel model. The entry-level petrol models are powered by Isuzu’s 2,0-litre engine, which has an output of 88 kW at 5 400 r/min and has 174 N.m of torque at 3 200 r/min. The new 2,5-litre direct injection engine is the heart of the KB 250 diesel models. For this model, drive is sent to the wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. An electro-pneumatic differential lock is available as a factory option.

Torque for this model stands at 207 N.m at 3 200 r/min. At this specification level, the vehicle is fitted with 7JX15 steel wheels and 215R15 tyres, and there is an option of 15-inch alloys.

Moving up a level to the specification, there is an option of three models - an Extended Cab 4x2, a Double Cab 4x2, and a Double Cab 4x4. The new 85 kW 250 D-TEQ engine also provides the power for these models. Petrol variants with the specification includes the Isuzu KB 240 LE 4x2 that plays host to a 94 kW 2,4-litre powerplant and develops 207 N.m torque at 3 200 r/min.

The Isuzu KB LE Single Cab is powered by the 3,0-litre common rail injection turbo-charged D-TEQ engine. This model shares the 250 D-TEQ LE Extended Cab specification without the rear storage bins.
