Unfortunetly in SA the mentality in SA is,if you do not drive a 3L/V6 sports car its considered a girls car.The thing people do not realise that the MX5 is very capable of getting you into trouble with the law ,but then again roadsters are not meant for speed, its all about enjoying the freedom of driving .
I have owned a 2001 example, its the best money I have ever spent on a car and I am now looking to buy another example.Show me what car you can buy for around 120k which gives you that performance and fun?Posted by: Dimitri
Great car!! Always liked the MX5. Mazda got it right with the MX5. Posted by: Stephen
Once again, why is Mazda SA marketing this as a hairdresser\'s type car when its a beatifully crafted sports car whith very trick suspension, an LSD diff and a pedigree that would put any other sportster to shame. How \'bout it Mazda SA, why is this thing not on the race track or in the hands of track day enthusiastsPosted by: Don
I have the 3rd generation MX-5, it\'s the most amazing car I have ever driven! Absolutely fantastic car!Posted by: Rogerio Silva
Fantastic but it MUST have a soft top. That's the whole idea behind a roadster. I have a hard top for my 2004 and never use it.Posted by: Peter
Great car but would never buy it with the hard top. Why not the option Mazda??Posted by: ANDREW
Owned a 2004 MX-5 (NB) and now have a 2006 (NC) very nice of Mazda to offer SA buyers the new face lifted NC but really only available in PRHT (Power retractable hardtop???) - A roadster is not a roadster if it has not got a soft top - Mazda/Ford SA - I will buy a new one but It must have a soft top. Its out there in Europe so just get us the some.Posted by: Glenn
