Price difference is not R60k. You must compare price to the 4x4 Fortuner as the Pajero Sport is 4x4. I dont understand why CAR compared it to the 4x2? Does not make sense. But still the Fortuner is R30k cheaper!, but the Sport does have more features then the FortunerPosted by: Tromp
Am motoring editor for a newspaper. Have tested Fortuner, pajero and Ford Everest. Everest best price, most power, best 4x4 capabilities, most stable at speed. By far a superior vehicle. Only negatives the light coloured carpets and seats and fragile aerial. Well done Ford.Posted by: Andre Coetzee
Only a farmer would think the Fortuner is better looking than a Pajero SportPosted by: Anonymous
Fortuner is light years ahead! Price, built quality, looks, practical and the legendary reliability. Sorry Triton Sport - not going to work...Posted by: Carrunner
I totally agree with Thorn the Fortuner is a much more reasonably priced car and an overall much better put together package compared to the Pajero Sport which is not a bed car but it isn't worth 60K more than the Fortuner. Posted by: Jordan
The only Mercedes that drives like a Pajero Sport is a Unimog...and that thing's better built and less offensively styledPosted by: Anonymous
Toyota drives like a a "BAKKIE" ,Mitsubishi drives like a Mercedes Its quality is also like a mercedes and not jap scrap like the toyota

Danie...the reason Mitsubishi's are more expensive is that they're in bed with Mercedes-Benz and import most of their vehicles from Thailand - have driven a Pajero Sport and have to agree with Gareth - it's just a poorly-built bakkie with a boot. Engine is pathetic and ergonomics woeful. It's not bias that makes the Toyota a better car, its a more affordable price, better build quality and a vastly superior service network - sorry Danie, but if the vast number of Fortuners playing our roads are anything to go by, your comment is just sour grapes...Posted by: Thorn
I have read your article about your comments on the Pajero Sport. You were blinded by its price but did not go any further to say why it is more expensive. How much did Toyota paid you to write such a negative bias report. Toyotas are for the masses, Mitsubishis are for the selected few.Posted by: Danie
Priced at R60K more than the Fortuner it is going to be stillborn ! It is a much lesser vehicle than the Fortuner so needs to be priced R60K cheaper if they are serious about selling .Posted by: Anonymous
