The next instalment of the popular Need for Speed gaming franchise, Need for Speed: Shift, is expected to be available in South Africa sometime this month.
EA Games has announced that there will be an all-new driver profi le system that will “… develop during the course of the game, create rivalries, trigger specifi c challenges and even unlock vehicles and customisation options”.
The track list of 18 includes circuits such as Brands Hatch, Laguna Seca, Silverstone and Spa- Francorchamps. There are over 65 vehicles to choose from, of which the 2009 Audi R8 LMS, 2010 Ford Shelby GT500, 2006 Koenigsegg CCX, 2007 Lotus Exige S and the 1972 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R are amongst the options. The cover star is the BMW M3 GT2.
The recommended retail price for Need for Speed: Shift is R599 for Xbox and PS3, R349 for PC and PSP.
