The real fun police

This is the description of the media involved in the media container above.

General Motors recently gave its Chevrolet Lumina CSV CR8 full police colours when it was used for the annual Top Gear Live show. And while it is still around and being tested by the General to see if would work in the South African market, CAR got its hands on the mean machine and experienced police brutality of a different sort.

The twin nostrils at the front and the sheer size of this "cop car" give off a very aggressive look, while the rear-wing helps with the sport look. Adding to this already menacing look is he 19-inch wheels, side cooling vents and rear LED tail lamps that have been styled to look like military jet afterburners.

Under the bonnet of this vehicle lies a burbling Corvette-sorced 6,2-litre V8 engine that has a maximum output of 317 kW at 6 000 r/min and torque of 550 N.m that is available from 4 400 r/min. Mated with a six speed manual transmission, we were able to get this vehicle to accelerate to 100 km/h from standstill in.... well, you can read the road test in the August issue to find that and the other performance figures out! It goes on sale July 19.

I like it! This is the perfect instrument for thinning out the traffic police numbers. The moegoes among the Metro cops will quickly wipe themselves out, leaving the more decent ones, if there are any, to do some real policing.
