Audi A1

by CAR Magazine on 31/01/2011

The Audi A1, unveiled at last year's Geneva Motor Show, is Ingolstadt's take on the boutique hatch – a market currently dominated by BMW's Mini, with the recent addition of Alfa Romeo's Mito. This new hatchback is now available in South Africa and has its eyes firmly set on shaking up this segment of the market.

You can read more about the Audi A1, by clicking on the DOCUMENTS tab to the top-right of the images, and downloading the full press release.

I cant wait for 2011….I’m getting it, come hell or high water. It looks breathtaking and I cant stop tallking about it…sorry to my current pride and joy, but this one is going to take over!

YES!!! i must have it! I have no need for a big car. So i was looking at getting the Alfa Mito, but this has blown it out the water. Being an Audi its more reliable and lower on insurance. hehe! I’ll be patient and wait for it :-)

    100% getting it for sure-ness :-)

While this car might get more customers for Audi it could end up diluting Audi’s image as a luxury car maker. A potential A8 buyer might hesitate to buy it since his large luxury sedan shares its brand with a small cheap car like this. Also look forward for more Audi repair questions to your dealers.

It might be a good car, as Audi’s are, but I saw a pre launch one in the flesh, and its the ugliest car Audi has ever made. Been waiting for a long time to see this car, but now my minds made up, off to Citroen to buy a DS3 then.

This car is great. Saw a brown / marakhesh one in CT in december without the silver roof linings. Nice but not Great like the RED one! Saw another one in PE not too long ago and that was a white/ cream coloured one with grey roof linings. The options of customising the car is cool but theres one concern for me. Some of the optional extras are abit pricey! I will definitey consider buying one in the near future or maybe wait for the more practical sportback version.

It’s looks awesome and also design and interior are just amazing. This will be great ride for me in future after using quality Old cars and classic cars.
