Drag racing and explosions are not an uncommon combination, but this one is quite special. Filmed at the Yas Marina F1 circuit in Abu Dhabi, the Chevy Camaro Pro-Stock dragster featured here appears to experience a nitrous oxide “backfire”, which prompts the safety crew to start poking around. One of them, apparently experiencing a serious moment of brainfade sticks his head down the orifice from which an almighty flame had just erupted moments before. Moments later we see what appears to be some nitrous wafting out of the bonnet scoop before the driver seemingly attempts to start the car and… KABOOM! Imagine if the safety marshal’s head was still where it was seconds before… Lucky man.
