SA Superbikes and Supersports will offer the Killarney faithful top class entertainment this weekend in round two of this year’s Super Series. In Supersports, Brent Harran and Cameron Petersen in the new MV Augustas, should be favourites after dominating at Kyalami. The main opposition will come from Cape Town’s Lance Isaacs on his Kawasaki, Dean Vos on the Yamaha, and Ian Kershaw also on a Kawasaki. Lady racers Nicole van Aswegen and Janine Mitchell should also draw attention as much for their looks as for their ability on the fearsomely fast 600 cm3 machines.
In the Superbike category Clint Seller on the Kawasaki will face stiff opposition from Chris Leeson on the BMW and Nicholas Grobler on another Kawasaki. These three put on a grand stand spectacle in round one and will jangle everyone’s nerves with the speed of their 1000 cm3 two-wheeled monsters down Killarney’s back straight.
