A new video has emerged showing Porsche’s upcoming 991 GT3 RS undergoing testing.
In the past few months it has been tricky to identity the test mule. It makes sense that Porsche will be working on the upcoming track-focused GT RS, but, with the air intakes situated before the rear wheels, it clearly indicated that the test mule uses a turbocharged engine. Now it seems it was purely there to confuse track-side spotters.
This video clearly indicates two important features of the upcoming car. First of all you can clearly hear that it is not a turbocharged car. Secondly, this is also a PDK-fitted car and not a manual.
Weather such a huge motorsport-inspired rear wing will make it to production is still unclear, but it is safe to assume that the winglets on the front bumper will. Afterall, the limited-edition 997 GT3 RS 4.0 featured these.
Expect the 991 GT3 RS to debut, possibly, before the end of the year at the Paris Motor Show.
