Nissan has made a more affordable version of its Pathfinder available on the local market. The Nissan Pathfinder 2.5 dCi 4×4 SE retails from R450 900 and is available from Nissan dealers immediately.
The Pathfinder SE is powered by Nissan’s proven 2,5-litre dCi common rail turbodiesel engine developing 140 kW and 450 N.m of torque. This unit is mated with either a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic ‘box and averages a fuel consumption of 8,5- and 9,0 litres per 100 km on the combined cycle, respectively.
This model features an independent suspension set-up all-round (multi-link at the rear) and Nissan’s all-mode 4×4 system with selectable drive modes and active-brake limited-slip. Combined with a ground clearance of 232 mm, as well as short front and rear overhangs, these features give the Pathfinder SE an assured footing off-road.
Nissan claims that the Pathfinder offers 515 dm3 of luggage space, expanding to 2 091 dm3 with the rear seats folded flat.
Standard specification includes cruise control, privacy glass, hands-free Bluetooth, dual-zone climate control, ABS with EBD, VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control) and six airbags.
