Lexus will unveil their next generation SUV at the New York Motor Show on 3 April. And here’s a teaser of what the all-new Lexus RX will look like…
It’s the fourth incarnation of their classy SUV and this new car appears to be sporting the current trending piece of automotive design… the floating roof. The big SUV – aiming to take on the BMW X5, Merc GLE and Audi Q7 – is likely to take the bulk of its styling cues from the angular Lexus NX and judging by the camouflaged spy pics we’ve seen, looks set to retain the current car’s long front and rear overhangs. No hardcore off-road trekking for this Lexus then.
Details are limited at the moment, but don’t expect too much deviation from what’s worked before. And that means there’ll likely be a 3.5-litre V6 petrol, a RX 450h hybrid and, hopefully this time, a diesel derivative.
