With the upcoming Geneva Motor Show this week, all eyes are on Aston Martin’s hypercar, the Vulcan as well as its most powerful Vantage yet, the GT3.
However, news closer to home indicates that South Africa will be one of the few markets where Aston Martin’s latest luxury sedan will be available. Aston Martin originally confirmed that the new Lagonda will only be sold in the Middle East, now it has surfaced that EU legislation-compliant countries in Continental Europe, the UK and South Africa will be able to order the Loganda Taraf. But, you will have to be quick as only 200 vehicles will be build. The Lagonda is equipped with the 6,0-litre, V12 engine, and will also feature several carbon fibre panels. Clients will also be able to specify the possible interior and exterior options to their heart’s content.
Aston Martin is rather coy with the pricing details, only stating that the car “is being offered to clients through Aston Martin’s VIP sales programme with precise pricing details remaining confidential”. We would suggest that means a good few million Rand.
