A manual gearlever in an S-product... it has been a while.
Audi South Africa has released the full details and pricing of the new S1 and S1 Sportback. Just to recap. Both cars are powered by a 2,0-litre, TFSI engine developing 170 kW and 370 N.m. That is more than the current Golf GTI (track test here)!
The dash to 100 km/h is dealt with in 5,8 seconds (5,9 for the Sportback) before both cars top out at 250 km/h. Torque is transferred to all four wheels using Audi’s Quattro drivetrain system. And yes, both models are only available with manual gearboxes.
