Porsche has crossed over to the dark side with the new Cayman S Black Edition, which gains a power increase over the standard Cayman S and a number of unique design features.
With 243 kW available at 7 400 r/min, the Black Edition’s 3,4-litre flat-six delivers 8 kW more than the S. Torque is the same at 370 N.m. The zero to 100 km/h sprint can be completed in a claimed time of 5,1 seconds and top speed is 279 km/h.
Black Edition styling includes Boxster Spyder 19-inch rims shod with 235/35ZR19 at the front and 265/35 ZR19 tyres at the rear, black leather seats and “Black Edition” decals on the door sills. Standard features include bi-xenon headlights with dynamic cornering lights and LED daytime running lights, as well as the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system.
