Citroën has released details of the facelifted DS3 hatchback and DS3 Cabrio. Strong emphasis has been placed on the car’s new light structure, which is vividly shown in the video above. These new headlights are a combination of LED and xenon lights.
The facelift also includes updated engines and new personalisation options. Two new turbodiesel engines will form part of the facelifted range. These include the Blue HDI 120 and BlueHDi 100. According to Citroën the 100 will only emit 79 g/km of CO2, leading to a claimed fuel consumption of only 3,0 L/100 km.
Changes to the petrol engine range include the addition of the “PureTech” e-VTi 82 ETG. The claimed fuel consumption is 4,11 L/100 km. This engine is available with the clutchless ETG, five-speed transmission.
It is unclear at this stage which derivatives of the Citroën DS3 range will be heading to South Africa.
