Ford has released this image and video of its facelifted Focus ST. Although the car will only be revealed on 27 June during the Goodwood Festival of Speed, it is already clear that the car will feature revised headlights and a different grille.
According to Ford, visitors will be able to see the new ST being drive up the hill in anger on all three days.
Ford hasn’t released any specific details of the updated Focus ST. In its press release it only mentioned that the car will benefit from “technology and quality improvements”. Expect the power and torque figures to remain the same at 184 kW/360 N.m.
However, Ford has confirmed that the ST will be available with a turbodiesel engine for the first time. Expect this 2,0-litre TDCi engine to deliver around 135 kW and over 350 N.m. We might be used to only seeing petrol-powered ST models, but Volkswagen has offered GTI-inspired Golf GTD model for a good few years.
These updates will also be implemented on the Focus ST Estate, a car which is unfortunately not available in South Africa.
