[Peugeot News] Peugeot’s facelifted RCZ is now available in South Africa. The changes are all cosmetic and brings the RCZ in line with the styling of the current Peugeot range.
Changes include revamped head- and taillamp units and the company’s new floating grille replacing the previous model’s gaping maw. The vehicle’s distinctive “double bubble” roof remains, as do the shapely roof arches, sculpted flanks and large wheel arches.
Interior changes include a different finish for the facia and panels as well as an all-new multimedia system that comes with an 18 cm colour screen. This system gives the driver access to the navigation, audio and Bluetooth systems.
The engine remains the same with a turbocharged 1,6-litre petrol engine sending power to the front wheels via a choice of six-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. Power stands at 115 kW/240 N.m in the automatic and 147 kW/275 N.m in the manual model. If this is not enough for you, the racy RCZ-R will be the Johannesburg Motor Show in October and will go on sale next year. It comes packed with a 199 kW and 330 N.m 1,6-litre turbocharged unit.
Standard safety features on this model include ABS with EBD, traction control and driver, passenger and side airbags. Some nice-to-have features on this car are automatic climate control, cruise control, heated front seats, a refrigerated glove box and a sports steering wheel.
