The images accompanying this article shows what could be the most expensive Ferrari in the company’s history, believed to have a price tag of 4,2 million US dollars!
This one-off model, of which the owner is unknown, is in essence a targa conversion of the F12 Berlinetta, but the body of the car is considerably different and more aggressive in appearance. And the aggressive nature of the design makes all the difference. It lends the F12 TRS the honour of possibly being one of the most exciting front-engine drop-top Ferraris in some time.
Not only does the F12 TRS feature an unique body, but it is rumoured that it packs a KERS system borrowed from the LaFerrari. This means that, with the added 120 kW and 270 N.m from the KERS unit, the 6,2-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine will produce well in excess of its stock 544 kW and 690 N.m!
The Ferrari F12 TRS will be in action this weekend at Ferrari Cavalcade in Sicily.
Making one-off Ferraris is not something new for the Prancing Horse, as they have made also made a one-off 458 for legendary guitarist Eric Clapton. Clapton, owner of a number of Ferraris, had a 458 made to his specifications. Inspired by the 512 with influences from the Italia, the SP12 EC was born. The EC is, of course, the initials of the guitarist.
