Ford has given its budget-friendly Figo a shot of the company’s Kinetic design language for 2013.
The facelift ushers in new design elements for the bonnet and front apron, while the lower air dam takes on a more trapezoidal shape that brings the Figo closer in line with the company’s more contemporary offerings. The Figo’s face is further highlighted by chrome trim on the upper grille louvre, revised foglamp housings and stylistic tweaks to both the head- and taillamps.
Entry-level Ambiente and top-tier Trend trim lines remain the staples of the Figo range and are externally distinguished by a new 8-spoke wheel cover design on the former and a new alloy wheel design for the latter. The model differentiation continues in the cabin, where the Ambiente receives a ‘Dynamic Blue’ centre stack bezel and new upholstery patina. The Trend sees the seat trim fabric change from red to blue, while additional Bluetooth functionality that allows the driver to switch between radio/CD/MP3 or iPod as well as displaying caller ID and the ability to accept/reject secondary calls.
The pricing, model and powerplant line-ups remain unchanged with the 1,4-litre petrol unit developing 62 kW/127 N.m available in both Ambiente and Trend guises, as well as the 1,4-litre turbodiesel (51 kW/160 N.m) as an Ambiente-only option.
