Electric motorcycles have been generating lots of interest as of late and Harley-Davidson is also keen on exploring the idea with Project LiveWire.
What is to become the company’s first electric motorcycle, Project LiveWire was created to test the interest riders may or may not have in this new venture.
On the bike itself the company did not say much, but noted that it will offer a “visceral riding experience with tire-shredding acceleration and an unmistakable new sound”. The bike also features an LED headlight, touchscreen display and a lightweight frame.
Harley-Davidson COO Matt Levatich said: “Harley-Davidson has reinvented itself many times in our history, with customers leading us every step of the way. Project LiveWire is another exciting, customer-led moment in our history.”
As part of their exploration on the idea, a selected number of consumers will be offered the chance to ride Project LiveWire and provide feedback on it.
It remains to be seen who of the three bikers on the CAR team will win the fist fight should the chance come their way…
