As part of its new School Bus Campaign, Maxus South Africa has introduced its 16-seater passenger minibus. It is certified to be driven by anyone with a normal (code 8) driver’s licence.
With the focus on safety, this passenger minibus comes with seatbelts on all 16 seats, airbags for driver and front passenger, side impact beams, ABS, EBA and EBD.
It is priced at R324 900 and offers air-conditioning, power steering, MP3 sound system, central locking, LED daytime running lights, electric window in the front and anti-theft safety systems.
The minibus is powered by a four-cylinder turbodiesel engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The engine produces 100 kW and 330 N.m of torque. Maxus claim a fuel consumption of 7,4 L/100km. This minibus comes with a three-year/100 000km service plan and manufacturer warranty.
Maxus is locally distributed by Mandarin motors, part of the Combined Motor Holdings (CMH) group. There are 12 Maxus dealers throughout South Africa.
