Hot on the heels of a recently released official teaser picture, images of what appears to be the 2014 Subaru WRX have hit the ‘web ahead of the car’s LA Motor Show debut.
Although there’s no concrete confirmation that the images in question are official, there are some definite parallels between them and Subaru’s preview, not to mention their release so close to the motor show’s opening early next week.
The front end has, understandably, been toned down from that of the original WRX concept but the car still possesses that typically Subaru trait of being performance-purposeful rather than pretty.
Initial reports suggest that the 2014 Subaru WRX will be powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, possibly a tweaked version of the company’s 2,5-litre unit, developing around 198 kW.
