The new BMW X5 will make its debut later this year, but thanks to these leaked images – from a brochure or on-line car configurator – we can reveal the new X5 in all its glory. Only two images have leaked, but they show the front and rear three-quarter views of the new F15 coded model.
There are no big surprises in terms of its exterior design – expect more far-reaching changes under the skin. These updates will include features we’ve already experienced in more luxurious BMW models, but there are also rumours of a pedestrian airbag and an X5L model, as well as a touchpad-like surface for the iDrive controller. The X5L is rumoured to offer an extended wheelbase and an additional row of seats, making it a true seven-seater. The F15 X5 rides on a modified version of the platform that underpins the F10-generation 5 Series saloon.
Expect the new X5 to be launched in South Africa later this year.
