Following the launch of the new Mazda2, and our initial impression of it, the Japanese company has now released the first official images of the new Mazda2 sedan.
Set to be unveiled at next week’s Thailand International Motor Expo, the sedan mimics the design of the hatchback. The compact boot at the rear means it will offer added luggage capacity compared to the hatchback, especially once the seats are folded down.
Under the bonnet we will expect to see the same 1,5-litre turbodiesel engine as found in the rest of Mazda’s new car range, as well as the 1,5-litre petrol engine.
Following the confirmation by Mazda South Africa of launching the CX-3 in South Africa, as well offering the new Mazda6 and Mazda2, we will be very surprised if this sedan doesn’t form part of the company’s model offensive early next year.
