BMW’s X6 has been without competition for quite some time, but Mercedes-Benz plans to change this with the possible introduction of a new version of its M-Class – the MLC.
Reportedly, this new model will be built at the company’s Alabama-based plant in the US. This plant recently received an extra boost thanks to a $350-million investment by the Mercedes parent company, Daimler, and currently produces the M-, R- and GL-Class vehicles.
The MLC is rumoured to make it to production by 2015, while the new ML is due in South Africa next year.
