We’ve seen manufacturers show a lighthearted side when it comes to motorsport. Earlier this year Audi welcomed its arch-rival Porsche back to the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans. Now we’ve seen Mercedes-Benz pull a similar stunt with Ferrari.
The German firm recently clinched the Formula One Constructor’s title and has been celebrating its maiden title with much style. Ferrari, one of the most successful teams in the history of the sport – and the only one involved since its formalisation in 1958 – were quick to congratulate the newly crowned winners.
In an odd show of humour Mercedes parked a new C-Class outside Ferrari’s headquarters with a cheeky pit-board. Here’s hoping that next year’s title chase is a far more closely fought affair between all the teams.
