[Mini News] Giving us a proper idea of what the upcoming Mini Cooper will look like, the brand has unveiled its Vision Concept at its design studios in Munich.
This concept shows that we can expect the all-new Mini to feature a more angled bonnet and windscreen, while the headlamps are now less pronounced than before. It’s safe to assume that the grey cladding, oversized tail-lamps and high-tech interior are more conceptual and gives Mini room to play with different technologies.
Mini has used a light-weight material called organo metal for the Vision Concept. The company has also concentrated on aerodynamics with its air intakes and outlets, “airflow-optimised” wheels and side mirrors and an integrated roof spoiler.
The interior is airy with sweeping doors and a floating centre console. Other notable interior features include lounge-like seats and Union Jack-like designs for the doors. This concept also features a Driving Experience Control that allows users to adjust the lighting scheme as well as a Mini Disco floor that illuminates the footwells.
The all-new Mini is expected to be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November and will reach South Africa early next year.
