Chinese manufacturer Geely is planning on enlarging its local offering. While the current range consists of the MK saloon and MK hatchback, Geely wants to add a new entry level model.
The third model in the line-up will be named the LK. It is a five-door hatchback with a relatively funky rear end while the front looks more like the automotive equivalent of a telletubby.
Few technical details are currently available, but, according to a spokesperson for Geely South Africa, we can expect the see the LK during the second or third quarter of 2011. They have also confirmed that it will be powered by 1,3-litre engine connected to a five-speed gearbox and offered in three specification levels.
Expect the same three years/100 000 km mechanical factory warranty as on the MK range.
