Kia has used the New York Auto Show to unveil its new Sedona. With all-new styling and a raft of new technology and safety features, it claims to raise the bar in its segment.
The all-new look with the familiar Kia grille, swept back headlamps, and wrap-around taillights brings the Sedona’s styling in line with the newer Kia models. Inside, there’s a more upmarket feel than before thanks to soft-touch materials, chrome highlights and new technology. This tech includes Kia’s infotainment and telematics system that allows for Internet connectivity and app storage.
This new people mover is available with seven and eight seats and has a 40 mm longer wheelbase than the model that it replaces. The overall width and height is the same, but Kia claims that there is greater interior room and that legroom for second- and third row passengers is ample.
Under the bonnet of the US-bound Sedona lies a 3,3-litre V6 petrol engine with 206 kW and 335 N.m of torque mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Local availability of this new Kia Sedona is still to be confirmed by Kia SA.
