Following a teaser image from Lexus of an upcoming F model, more details are starting to emerge on the Internet.
We first reported that it might be the next-generation Lexus IS-F sedan, but now it seems it will the F version of the RC Coupé that was revealed in November 2013.
As is still the case, the RC-F is likely to use a 5,0-litre V8 engine developing around 340 kW. This should be enough for an acceleration time to 100 km/h in around 4,5 seconds following a top speed approaching 300 km/h.
As most manufacturers are opting for turbocharged engines these days (think BMW M4/M3 and the upcoming C63 AMG), the RC-F should offer a welcoming alternative for the sports car enthusiast.
Expect the 2014 Lexus RC-F to be officially unveiled at the North American International Auto Show opening its doors in Detroit on 13 January 2014.
