Although Mercedes-Benz has only revealed the new W205 C-Class a few days ago, more details about this range are starting to appear.
New details include official pictures of the AMG line. This will be the middle ground between the standard car and the C63 AMG sports sedan which will make its debut towards the end of 2014.
There are a few notable exterior upgrades. These include the different exhaust ends which is neatly integrated into a new rear bumper. There is also more chrome including around the windows. The five-spoke alloys give the car a sportier stance especially as it sits on 15 mm lower sports suspension. Move towards the front, and the bumper and lip spoiler signal a clear indication to the AMG trim, albeit with a strong dose of S-Class design.
It would also seem that a sunroof would form part of this trim level.
The car will officially be shown to the public for the first time at next month’s North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), running from 13 to 26 January 2014.
As the East London plant gets ready to produce the new C-Class, expect the first cars to become available during the second quarter of 2014.
