Less controversially styled but still competitively priced, the B-grille offers customers a low-key alternative in GWM’s C10 hatchback range.
The C10’s bold V-grille face has proved a hit-and-miss affair with potential buyers, with some drawn to the chromed front and others possibly put off. The B-grille’s nose, with its chrome strip top and mesh intake cover, is more familial in its appearance and brings the C10 more visually in line with the likes of the H5.
Power is provided by the same 77 kW and 138 N.m 1,5-litre VVT (variable-valve timing) petrol engine coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox that does service in the V-grille model.
The B-grille’s specification mirrors that of the V-grille with such standard features electric windows, air conditioning, radio/CD/MP3 audio system with steering wheel-mounted controls, ABS with EBD, Isofix child seat anchorage points, park assist, alloy wheels, power steering and remote central locking with immobilizer included in the R139 900 retail price.
