Only days after we’ve driven the new Audi TT, the company has pulled the wraps of the new TT Roadster and TT S Roadster.
Compared to the coupé, there is no significant revelations. The Roadster also make use of the MQB platform, and the engine range is the same as that of the coupé. This means the 2,0-litre, TFSI engine develops 169 kW/370 N.m or you can choose the S model that delivers 228 kW/380 N.m.
The latter will, according to Audi, blast from 0-100 km/h in 4,9 seconds. To lower the roof will only take 10 seconds, one of the quickest in the industry.
Unfortunately, Audi confirmed to us that at this stage they are not considering bringing the Roadster to South Africa. An interesting move, especially as they have imported the Roadster version of both the first and second generation car. However, maybe they will reconsider this decision once the coupé is launched early next year.
