Maserati has lifted the wraps off its GranCabrio MC ahead of this year’s Paris Motor Show. Drawing its inspiration from the GranTurismo MC Stradale, this model sees sporty styling addenda meet open-top motoring.
As the halo model of Maserati’s GranCabrio range, the GranCabrio MC features a styling package that incorporates an aggressive body kit with enlarged front air dams, a revised splitter, a new rear spoiler, third brakelamp and a rear diffuser with twin exhaust ports.
Power is provided by the same uprated 4,7-litre naturally aspirated V8 as found in the GranTurismo MC Stradale. This unit develops 330 kW and 550 N.m of torque. Although Maserati has not provided performance figures for the Cabrio the (admittedly 100 kg lighter-than-standard) fixed-roof model hits 100 km/h from standstill in 4,6 seconds on the way to 300 km/h-plus top-end.
