Nissan has announced plans to launch a Duster-based SUV. This new small Nissan SUV – dubbed Terrano – will be launched in India later this year.
The single sketch released shows Nissan opting to use its family face on the forthcoming model, with a resculpted bonnet and some extra creases differentiating its small SUV from its donor vehicle.
While the Renault/Dacia Duster is being marketed as a cut-price SUV, Nissan plans a different approach with the presumably well-specced new Terrano being aimed at a more premium SUV buyer.
There is no word yet as to whether or not the Terrano will be available outside of India, but with the Duster coming to South Africa under the Renault badge, we don’t see why the Terrano shouldn’t be a consideration for local consumption.
