Hot on the heels of the recently revealed 2013 Auris, Toyota has now released images and details of its facelifted Verso ahead of the car’s official Paris Motor Show debut.
The facelift introduces a number of styling element similar to those featured on the 2013 Auris, including a large trapezoidal grille, revised headlamps with LED elements, revised wing mirrors with integrated repeaters and a restyled rear bumper.
The petrol engine lineup comprises1,6- and 1,8-litre units. Both engines are mated with a six-speed manual gearbox, but the larger of the two can also be specified with a Mulidrive CVT unit. An updated version of the existing 2,0-litre D-4D diesel develops 131 kW – a considerable hike up from the current model’s 93 kW – and is joined by a 2,2-litre D-CAT diesel with 110 kW on tap.
Inside, the changes to the 2013 Toyota Verso are largely material; namely soft-touch materials on the facia, orange switchgear illumination, white backlights for the dials and leather finishes for the steering wheel, handbrake lever and armrest in upper-tier models.
The facelifted car still features the Easy Flat-7 seating system. Offering up to 32 different configurations, this setup liberates a 1 575 mm x 1 430 mm load floor with all of the seats folded, while folding the third row only frees up 440 dm3 of luggage space. With all seats in place, the Verso serves up 155 dm3 of luggage space.
