If you think the standard Nissan GT-R is a little too tame for you, then perhaps this Nismo GT-R is just the ticket. Supposedly making its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show next week (look out for reports from staffers attending the event) this hyperformance model is said to pump out 425 kW from a revised version of the turbocharged 3,8-litre V6 engine. Expect a benchmark acceleration time – in ideal conditions – to be in the low two-second bracket. Wow!
Nissan’s motorsport department has changed the suspension and added extra aero as well in an effort to reduce the car’s Nurburgring lap time to below the 7 minute 18 second mark. Watch this video to see the new car being tested at the ‘Ring.
We expect the undisguised Nismo GT-R to be unveiled next week.
