If it’s a new year, that must mean that the Nissan GT-R has been updated. This year’s revisions focus on the suspension, comfort levels and aesthetics.
The race-derived double wishbone design up front and a multilink system at the rear features improved ride comfort, handling and stability. Noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) levels have been reduced thanks to improved transmission noise and shock reduction. Braking ability – which is handled by two-piece floating-rotor Brembo 4-disc system – has also been enhanced. The GT-R Premium Edition boasts a new alloy wheel design.
The turbocharged 3,8-litre V6 engine remains unchanged with a, still impressive, 397 kW and 628 N.m delivered to all four wheels via a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission link to Nissan’s all-wheel drive system .
“What is most important to note is that the price increase on 2015 Nissan GT-R derivatives has been capped at a mere 1%,” comments Konstantin von Vieregge, General Manager Product Planning at Nissan South Africa. “This means a minimal increase of just R15 000 to all models, offering the 2015 modifications at exceptional value.”
