[Nissan News] Nissan will be introducing a turbodiesel Juke to its model lineup by early spring.
The Nissan Juke 1,5 dCi will develop 81 kW and 260 N.m of torque, the latter being modulated under the Nissan Dynamic drive system, Normal, Sport) that caps the torque to 220 N.m in its most frugal (ECO) setting and modulates throttle input in both ECO and Sport settings.
Fuel efficiency is the order of the day here, with such features as low-friction engine components, start/stop and revised gear ratios (lower 1st and 2nd for off-the-mark performance and higher 3rd to 6th ratios for improved fuel efficiency) contributing to claimed fuel consumption and CO2 emissions figures of 4,2 litres/100 km and 109 g/km, respectively.
Coupled with a six-speed manual transmission, this unit will reportedly propel the Juke from standstill to 100 km/h in 11,2 seconds and on to a 175 km/h top speed.
Final pricing and specifications will be clarified closer to the car’s arrival here.
