After a number of recent spy photographs, Kia has taken the plunge and released first images of its imminent new Cerato (also known as the Forte and K3 in other markets), along with a (very) short press release.
The smartly styled newcomer is due to go on sale in Korea later this year, and the press release mentions other markets to follow early in 2013. We believe this includes South Africa, as we were earlier told that the new Cerato would be in SA before the end of this year, which now seems unlikely.
The press release is thin on other details and merely mentions the LEDs in the front and rear lights, an extended wheelbase for more cabin space, a more upmarket interior with improved quality and upgraded equipment, as well as an engine line-up that offers class-leading fuel economy.
