Peugeot South Africa has finally launched the new 308 hatchbcak in South Africa.
This 2014 European Car of the Year offers a 5-star EuroNCAP safety rating and will be offered with a single engine, but two power derivatives.
The 1,2 PureTech e-THP 110 produces 81 kW at 5 500 r/min and 205 N.m from a low 1 500 r/min. Torque is send to the front wheels via a manual, five-speed gearbox. This drivetrain will power the Active model.
The 1,2 PureTech e-THP 130, for the GT Line model, develops 96 kW at 5 500 r/min and 240 N.m from 1 750 r/min. This drivetrain is offered with a six-speed manual gearbox.
The GT Line can be recognised by its additional trim and equipment level both on the exterior and interior of the car. It has full LED headlights, different grille and twin tailpipes at the rear. Larger wheels are also fitted to the GT Line.
These Peugeots come with a 3-years/100 000 km warranty and a 5-years/60 000 km maintenance plan.
