Generally speaking, profanity is neither big nor smart…but in some instances it can get the point across very succinctly. And what better instance than Porsche’s latest creation, the 462 kW 911 GT2 RS, going sideways on a deliciously empty racetrack?
Having been assaulted by a raft of visually-impressive, but somewhat formulaic, promotional videos involving classical muzak and helicopter-borne footage of cars wafting around picturesque mountain passes, it has to be said that the heavy metal soundtrack, lairy driving antics and subtitles associated with the sort of language that would make a truck driver blush is a real breath of fresh air…
The only footage that could possibly have surpassed this promotional video would have been that of the Porsche board members reaction at its first screening – the raising of eyebrows behind rimless designer spectacles and bemused glances to equally gobsmacked colleagues would have been priceless…whoever said the Germans lacked a sense of humour?
