Volkswagen is now offering an optional R-Line styling package for the Touareg to give its halo SUV a more purposeful, sporty persona.
In addition to a sports suspension set-up, the R-Line package offers such features as; a matte black diffuser and oval tailpipes integrated into a redesigned rear bumper, package-specific roof spoiler, colour-coded side sills, chrome garnish on the doors, R-Line badges on the front wings, a revised front spoiler lip in R-Design and 20-inch Mallory alloy wheels.
The R-Line treatment also ushers in a number of interior treatments, including leather-trimmed sports seats, a heated multifunction sports steering wheel with paddle shifters and gloss black trim inserts and stainless steel finishes for the pedals and door sills.
The package costs R35 000 and is offered on all Touareg derivatives except the 3,0 V6 TDI Terrain Tech.
