Pricing for the entry-level version of Renault’s eagerly anticipated Clio 4 model has leaked ahead of the car’s official launch in early April.
Renault communicated the pricing of its naturally aspirated, entry-level, 1,2-litre during the company’s annual dealer convention. According to an unofficial report, this model will retail for a very competitive R149 900, placing it in the same bracket as the likes of the Volkswagen Polo Vivo 1,6 Trendline, Kia Rio 1,2, Fiat 500 1,2 Pop and Toyota Yaris 1,0 Xs. The Clio’s dashing new looks and upmarket interior should win over many buyers, especially at that price.
The entry-level model will be powered by a naturally aspirated 1,2-litre, 16-valve petrol engine developing 55 kW and 107 N.m.
The local launch of the Renault Clio 4 will take place between 10 and 12 April, at which time further details regarding the model range, specifications and so forth will be revealed.
