A series of mild cosmetic updates and the addition of a new entry-level model will be ushered in with the introduction of the 2013 BMW Z4.
In terms of aesthetics, the updated Z4 features mild revisions to the LED headlamps and exterior trim elements along with a selection of revised alloy wheel designs for certain models in the range and a selection of new colour options, including the pictured unit’s eye-catching orange finish as part of a Hyper Orange styling pack.
Interior revisions include the fitment of high-gloss black trim for the air vents, iDrive and control surrounds, as well as the addition of a new Fineline Anthracite wood finish for the facia. Opting for the Hyper Orange pack sees the inclusion of orange contrast stitching for the seats, Alcantara door panels and metal-weave trim strips.
The engine line-up remains largely the same as that of the outgoing model with the exception of a new entry-level model. The sDrive18i features a turbocharged 2,0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine developing 115 kW and 240 N.m of torque. BMW claims a 0-100 km/h time of 7,9 seconds and a 220 km/h top speed for the six-speed manual model. An eight-speed automatic is offered as an option on this model.
We can expect the updated Z4 to arrive on the local market around July 2013.
