Looking ahead to this weekend’s Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix at the stunning Yas Marina circuit, championship leader, Sebastian Vettel, will be hoping to put together some impressively tidy laps in order to finish ahead of his nearest rival, Fernando Alonso. To give you an idea of what an ultimate lap might look like, British gamer Alex Gillon loaded F1 2012 onto his PC and got to work setting a near-perfect lap (with commentary) in his Sauber.
He writes: “In this video I post a quick lap time around Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi. I am on the Racenet event, so I am driving a Sauber. The lap time that I post is good enough for 8th at the time of posting.”
“I am using the middle quick setup.”
Sector 1: 17.833
Sector 2: 41.977
Sector 3: 39.388
Total: 1.39.199
“This game is being played on PC on high settings. I have got it on legendary with all assists off. I use the Logitech Driving Force GT with everything set to 0% barring 10% steering linearity.”
