The Nissan Navara soldiers on as the company adds yet another special to its line-up in the form of the Navara Safari. This special-edition vehicle has, according to the manufacturer, been designed “for the intrepid South African 4×4 enthusiast who enjoys overland excursions”.
Based on the Navara 2,5 dCi double cab 4×4 LE with either a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic ‘box, the Navara Safari benefits from the addition of all-terrain tyres, a front-mounted nudge bar, hard-wearing seat covers, Safari-branded carpets, a rubberised load box with tonneau cover, cargo protection, aerodynamic drag enhancements and aesthetic tweaks, underbody protection plates for the engine, gearbox and transfer case, custom-built protective rocksliders and a removable tow bar with recovery points.
The 2,5-litre turbocharged diesel unit in this vehicle has a maximum power output of 140 kW at 4 000 r/min and 450 N.m of torque at 2 000 r/min.
