This weekend the Formula One circus moves to North America. Round seven of the 2013 championship takes places at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve.
The Canadian race always provides exciting action, especially as there are two long straights that terminate in hairpin corners. The final corner sequence, however, has been the scene of much heartache, for drivers and fans, over the years. The right-left flick-flack that feeds the cars back onto the pit straight is flanked by an unrelenting wall. Many drivers have destroyed their cars at this point including several world champions bestowing this famous piece of concrete with the unflattering title “Wall of Champions”.
Take a look back at how some of the sports greats have ended their Canadian GP parked against the wall.
