The updated Peugeot 3008 has been spotted uncovered and appears to have dispensed with the current model’s controversial styling.
The 3008 arrived on the local market in 2010 and garnered generally positive reviews for its refinement, practicality and a range of strong engines. The one aspect that didn’t always find favour, however, was the somewhat overly bold styling.
It appears that the updated version, which was spotted undisguised by spy snappers, has ditched the vast-grilled front in favour of a more conservative treatment reminiscent of that applied to the likes of the 508 saloon and the upcoming 208, bringing it more in line with the recently launched 4008 crossover.
Given that the update is largely cosmetic, we can expect the engine/transmission line-up to remain little changed from that of the current car. It’s likely that this model will make an appearance at the upcoming Paris Motor Show.
